Worst Customer Service
Printer drums broke at less than one year old. Told me it was my fault and warranty doesn't cover the part needed. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told no.

Best for printing high volume standard printing paper
Fast and high quality printing in black & white and color but the tray for the paper can be tricky and causes issues with paper jams. All of the pages have a curl to them especially thicker paper like card stock. The manual feeder is very temperamental and you have to hand-feed it one page at a time.

Excellent quality from a color laser printer
Print quality is excellent. Printing is relatively fast and quiet. Connecting to the user's WiFi network can be a bit challenging as is finding and downloading the driver software from the Brother Support web-site.

Laser Jet Brother
I like the printer. My only complaint is it is a bit slow. The fact that it prints two-sided was a surprise and welcome! The initial supply of ink ran out pretty fast tho. I hope the replacement cartridges do better. I cannot seem to get on the site where I can sign up for auto refills. Must call and get that straightened out. Would be nice not to run out of ink...

The printer works
The printer appears to work well but I have not had time to put it through a serious work-out yet thus only the 4 star rating. It replaced a 20+ yr old Samsung laser printer that finally gave-up the ghost (fuser cooked and you could smell that). I shopped several company websites for this particular highly rated printer. Brother has gone downhill
The old Brother HL-L3xxx series printers were workhorses. They printed fairly fast and worked reliably. These new ones are built cheaper priced higher and programmed to hassle you for using non-ridiculously overpriced OEM cartridges. Hopefully longer life
The print quality is not quite as sharp as the HL-3170CDW that was replaced. I have expectations that this printer will last longer. The HL-3170CDW needed all the drums replaced at 2500 prints. That is 12500 prints shy of what they are rated for.

Solid printer but some drawbacks
This printer does not allow me to copy letters. The set-up is difficult; I needed help getting it to work. I would have liked a hard copy of the user manual.

32 days.......
The printer worked for 32 days before the errors began. It started with the DRUM! error After about an hour of use I have to "clean" the toner each time I print. The back door randomly opens on its own while printing causing an immediate jam. Although xxl inks are sold the machine does not accept them it thinks it is still out of ink. Decent product, but they ask you to include the serial number for software upgrades but when you do it doesn't work. Very frustrating. Other than that it works well

Dependable, Just Not as Good as My Old One
I bought this Brother printer to replace a 10-year-old Brother color laser printer that I loved. This one is good, but not as good as that old one. (I could no longer get software to use it with my state-of-the-art Apple laptop.) The print doesn't seem as crisp. That's my main complaint. The speed and color are good and I like the low profile of the machine.

Clean and beautiful print
This color laser printer is everything I hoped for! The print quality, both in black and white and in color, is excellent. I no longer have the issue of my color cartridges drying out (as I did with my color ink jet printer), which is the main reason I decided to switch to this printer. It is also very reasonably priced for its quality and features.

Not complex setup
My 2nd Brother laser color printer. Easy to setup and use. I don’t even look at other brands! Reliable!!
I only had to buy another one because power outages fried the first one that I had for 12 years and still worked perfectly.

Works Great
Easy to setup downloaded just the drivers and shutoff updates so time will tell when it needs new toner how well it handles 3rd party toner. It prints docs very sharp and clear love the auto duplex printing as other have said the photos are a little washed out but that's not what we mainly use it for so this was a good purchase for us to get away from the frequent maint...
