Pretty Sweet
First I tried the printer/USB cable and it printed from my iMac computer. I didn’t even need to download any software. Next, I tried wireless from my iPad, just needed to make sure that they were both on the same Wi-Fi network and it printed great, no new software required. It’s a pretty sweet printer and meets my needs perfectly.

Unfortunately we had to return it
Hooked it up and it made a copy and printed a page. It would not scan the second date it stopped print in and copying. We deleted the printer and divers and downloaded the installation again. Still had problems so we returned it

Brother DCP-L2640DW Printer
Overall good product. However, printing envelopes is difficult. They have to be done via the bypass and come out the back of the machine. The printer "jams" almost every time you try to print the envelope because it doesn't pick up the envelope properly.

Serviceable and the price was right

Printer "Not Available"- Useless machine
Error messages on laptop or phone: "printer not available", "printer asleep", "searching for printer", "connecting to printer"... Sometimes it will print after turning the printer off & on again. Sometimes after re-installing the printer on laptop. 50% of time it's a complete fail! Do NOT BUY this expensive fickle machine. Useless piece of equipment.

Do not buy
I have used Brother products for years with few issues
Needed a copier scanner printer so went this one
It goes through ink like crazy and the paper pick up is terrible always says out of paper.

Good basics but missing some key features
This is a good basic printer, but lacks some key features. Yes is can scan multiple pages, but only one sided. You will have to reload, rescan, and then reorder your (double sided) pages once done. It also prints on the back of the page. Not an issue unless you want to print multiple checks and have to reorder them before putting them in the printer face down (top towar...

Great5value for an "I can do everything" printer
I trued other printers that cost less, but this one so outweighed other printers anywhere near it current price. It is fast, for printing and scanning, prints beautiful text and has an easy to set up scanner. It automatically configured itself for my network. Really neat. My previous Brother lasted over 10 years.
