Problems
I used this to replace a Brother printer I'd had for 15 years. This one tripped my circuit breakers every time I tried to print something. Setup was difficult. I had to call the company to help set it up. Finally, right out of the box it was louder than the 15-year old Brother I was replacing. I'm going to give Brother another shot and choose a different printer.

Does the job
Compared to HP my new Brother printer is far superior. I like the fact that the toner is far easier to install than ink cartridges. I don’t require anything fancy and this machine does the trick. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it lasts for a while. Couldn’t possibly be any worse than my experiences with HP.

Non technical and can't set it up..
I am sure once my hired tech guy connects it it will be fine (he's going to check it out today) but my assistant and I tried (we are both over 70) and could not get it working...very disappointing. I have an old one that was fine but couldn't purchase ink any longer so needed to get a new one...not too happy at this time. The clerk said the connecting "was easy." ...

Easy to use & setup
Great printer. Has most of the features I hoped for. Just wanted it to handle more sheets in the document feeder. Also the guides for the doc feeder are flimsy & don't always feed straight.

Not good if you need it to print envelopes

Ok printer
Prints well but not for envelopes. They come out with deep wrinkles.

Inexpensive tool for home use
Printer is very basic - usual brittle plastic. Prints well. No instructions included as expected. Not too saavy about downloading the printer driver but got it done. Would recommend as an inexpensive tool for home use.

I went to laser
I haven’t used it much yet but printing from the internet was crisp and clear. LaserI hope scanning will be just as simple and I no longer have to check my supply of color ink as I did with my ink jet printer

Very good for price
This a great printer. My only complaint is that the Brother scan feature mo longer allows flipping landscape pages so they aren’t sideways. (My much older Brother printer allowed that). However this one is smart enuf to recognize that it shouldn’t flip the page if 2-sided is on but there’s only 1 page to print (my old 1 did that if I was re-using paper already printe...

DCP-L2640DW is inexpensive copier/printer/scanner
For a relatively low price the unit does the jobs that I need to do in my home office. Easy setup. It works for my needs.
