Sleeps - doesn't print- total rip off!
Slowest printer IF it even bothers to WAKE UP. Always in "sleep mode", even if it was in use just a moment ago. If it happens to be awake, it can take up to 20 minutes from the time it "receives data" to actually print. WORST PRINTER EVER!

Good Home Printer
Good for home use. Biggest deficiency is that it goes into "sleep" or "deep sleep" mode and is difficult to reactivate without doing a full restart of the computer

Perfect home office printer

Good quality printing
Had some difficulty installing the printer initially, but was able to do after reviewing the steps required. Would be helpful if the manufacturer would add a photo of the keypad and each feature for the DCPL2640DW in the installation guide.

Great black printer!
Scans, prints double sided, and copies. Black toner is what I was looking for and wanted a good quality printer. Very happy with this one!!

So far it's a decent printer
Haven't had the printer long enough to really do proper review. So far it's been really good. Great printer and fast. Currently the only issue is the LCD screen could be improved.

Great printer
Very pleased it prints fast. I had a big job and this printer did not disappoint. Copies many pages at once. I have not scanned anything yet, so I am giving four stars

Nice change from inkjet
My tech guy could not install the laser printer driver on my new laptop despite many attempts. I was prepared to buy a different brand printer or a new laptop. However, after calling Brother Support (long wait but good call back system) I received accurate information to finally install the driver. The printer works very well and printed matter is clean, clear, sharp.

Economical and efficient
I have been very happy with this economical and efficient printer. Since this is the first time I've had an "all in one" computer printer, I have no basis to compare it with other models. Throw your Ink Printers away and buy this Beauty
what a great laser printer, i was using a competitor that had ink cartridges and they would dry up quickly and I would use the printer sparingly, it would cost me just using black cartridges a fortune. With this beauty I still use it sparingly but still shows plenty of toner left for 900 pages of printing.

Fast but loud
I love the Brother brand, that's all I have every owned. I really like the fast printing it does but, its noisy.

Disappointed customer
Unfortunately, there are frequent jams; the ink runs our quickly although I don't print out more than 1 or 2 pages at a time. The quality of printing is poor. The guide doesn't keep envelops straight..... etc. etc.

Exactly the right tool for the job
What a difference from my previous printer. This Brothers is by comparison, quiet, quick, clear, and relatively easy to setup. We don’t print much so, in the time we’ve had it I can say it has had no issues with paper, ink or cartridges, or degradation of print. It is not a color printer nor does it do photos. Specifically for documents and that’s the intended use.
