Pretty Sweet
First I tried the printer/USB cable and it printed from my iMac computer. I didn’t even need to download any software. Next, I tried wireless from my iPad, just needed to make sure that they were both on the same Wi-Fi network and it printed great, no new software required. It’s a pretty sweet printer and meets my needs perfectly.

DO NOT BUY BROTHER LASER PRINTER
As soon as printer was out of 14 day return policy it ceased to access online connection with no problem on any other device in the home. Removed the printer and reinstalled no help Went to Brother website which turned out to be hacked and ended up in fruitless help and wasted hours. The price was right. I researched prior to purchase and am very satisfied. Replaced and injet printer that used a lot of ink and could not keep printer head clean. Expect toner to last a lot longer than ink cartridges.

compared to prior models, I found this printer to be not as the high quality I had come to expect. I think it will last ok for my friend who has limited use of a printer, but she likes the copy machine function. great home laser printer
This has everything we wanted in a home printer at a great price. The only thing it does not have is autofeed, but we haven't missed that yet. What we love is the automatic duplex printing. No need to select because the printer knows to print on both sides when you print more than one page.

ADF is terrible
Scanner is necessary for me and this one is not great at all..... Constantlty getting could not scan messages and have to start over. Take an average of 3 time to get the ADF to feed correctly and scan...then the lines... I wanted to give brother a try to avoid the injet costs... Toner is not much cheaper and this has not been a good option for scanning. Printer is go...

Printer is great but installation was a bear
The operation of the printer is exactly as advertised. Installation of the software and connecting the printer to my computer was not easy. It required a 1.5 hour chat session with tech support. Thankfully the tech support guy knew what to do, but it took several attempts to finally get everything working.

Very Complicated with Poor Instructions
The printer came with minimal instructions. The 663 page online manual was extremely complicated and done in so many languages and addressed so many models that it was difficult to learn much about the procured printer. The setup also required more information to be put into it than with other brands, and some of the information I didn't even know how or where to obtain...

Love it but not the subscription
This printer is pretty amazing compared to what we had before, a canon inkjet that wouldn’t want to connect to our mobile devices. This one connects to everything really easily. So I’m looking at a PDF on my phone, I click print to the brother, 30 seconds later I’ve got a printout.

The Best Printer I could've bought
From printing from your phone, to using your pc to print. This printer is phenomenal, the quality of print, and all the nice features are everything anyone could want in black and white printing. Duplex, fast printing, nice paper tray, compact, not too heavy, esc. Keep the original box, cause you'll need it for transporting the printing if you move anywhere

Excellent printer at a reasonable price
Seems to be a well built, well designed printer for someone who wants a laser printer without a lot of extras such as fax capability. It was easy to set up on my PC and is AirPrint compatible for Mac users. My 1st laser printer!
I was tired of cleaning inkjet print-head clogs so I bought my 1st laser printer. I like it! My sister also has a Brother laser printer. She had a previous one, a 2280, that didn't print. She liked mine so she also bought a 2480. She's the "expert" on laser printers so when I have questions, I'll ask her.
