good only over usb
I have yet to get this thing working either wirelessly or on the ethernet, poor networking software and setup. Computer finds it just fine, can't ever print to it. Bought this to have a B/W option if the Epson workforce printer runs out of ink. Been knee deep in networking since the early 90s.

Prints great- software is terrible
The printer itself is great. Fast printing and the result looks clean and crisp. The issue is that I cant get the printer to scan or copy no matter what I try. Its a software issue that doesnt seem to have a resolution.

Cartridge has short life.
Excellent machine. My ony criticism is that the toner cartridge has to be replaced after a short time.

Beware Brother Printers
The manual included in the box lists a support website that is a scam. Brother has never addressed this issue.

Works well if you can set it up.
Setup is very difficult unless you are well versed in such a process. Once it is functioning, it's pretty good. Seems to go through toner faster than expected.

The best wireless black and white printer- ever!
Highly recommend this printer. To set it up EASILY, go to UTube and watch the video for this model. I set it up in ten minutes and also had my husband's computer printing to it wirelessly.

Great printer! It was reasonably easy to set up although the instructions can be confusing. Best to follow the printed manual that comes with it instead of the QR code for the app.

Bricked printers?
I love this printer. However I have read articles that suggest that Brother bricks their printers for unspecified reasons. If you have lowered yourself to Hewlett-Packard standards I will never buy your products again

The printer is “not” in use
Not working. It’s been showing “ the printer is in use” but it have been printing nothing for a month since I bought it. I called Brother customer service, and they confirmed my printer can be shown on my Mac and iPhone. However, it still can’t print. I want to return, but it beyond the return date.

Great printer.
Printer works great and is easy to set up. Only problem is the ink cartridge supply program, which is marketed very heavily, is not available in Hawaii. Why is that?
