It works but it does separate from my laptop (HP Envy 360 Convertible) really easy. An annoyance but then again so was the blistering hot charger that came with it.

Right place at right time
Contemporaneous with the start of the LA fire I walked into Staples quickly picked up my power adapter (at a great price) which was easily located and got back to the hotel.
