priced lower; costs more
HP makes great printers. The 3101sdw is not one of them. I own four HP printers but I returned this model. Scanning one single sided page can take 30 seconds. Sometimes I need to scan 10-20 pages. Who has that kind of time?

bait and switch?
I purchased this printer last week for $199 and then got a message that it was not available. I clicked on the printer again same printer and it was $259 and was available. Less than what I expected from Staples.

No manual feed
Nice printer easy to set up. But be aware this printer does not have a manual feed option if you want to manually feed labels.

Stopped Working 2 Weeks After Set Up
At first I just loved this printer. It prints so fast! Like 3-4 seconds after I send it to the printer which is amazing. I work from home and print several hundred pages a week so that's a big deal to me. Set up was ok. Download some print drivers and software and the app for my phone and I thought I was good to go. Love it.
Set up was so easy even I could do it and everything is working well. I love it. Only issue: I thought it was to have a USB port in the back and the manual said something about how I might need to remove a "label" but it seems to have only a black plastic square that looks like a plug where the USB port is supposed to be and I am afraid to try to pull it out.

Easy to set up and use
This is the best printer I've ever had. I set it up on the internet and for regular printing w/o help. It has many useful functions.

The printer poor quality control inspection
The glass where the auto feeder feed the document for scanning crack and broken.

Wish this had a manual tray
This printer is replacing a work horse HP1020 laser printer that finally died. The only thing that I wish it had was a manual tray like the 1020. To do envelopes you must unload the sheet stock do the envelope and then reinstall the paper. Other than that it is a great printer.

Works like a charm
It’s been up and running for just a few days but it works just like I hoped it would. It was easy to set up. We’re using it on both Windows and Mac OS (Sequoia 15.0.1)

HP Laser Jet Pro
I am replacing a 20+ year old HP 4100 Laser Jet. The 3101 is great. So simple to install and setup. Great quality prints and 35 ppm just outstanding. the scanner is fast and easy to use. Highly recommend this for home or small business.

does many things really well
I've printed over 2000 sheets of paper and done scanning to a file with use of the document feeder. Here are the highlights: - The initial setup worked on the first try. I was a bit concerned due to I already have a connected HP inkjet printer but they did not seem to impact each other. A perfect fit
The sprinter was a perfect fit for my home office and for our volunteer work. It was well packaged arrived on time after the Labor Day weekend and was an easy set up. It has a few more bells and whistles than I need but it is simple to operate. I recommend this without reservation.
