RAM hog @ 16GB installed RAM.
RAM Memory HOG- with just MS office, Zoom, Mcafee, Chrome, Opera installed, nothing else is running- it boots up at 45%+ memory usage + before the software installed- it was 40%. Startup has only Windows 11 stuff running and still at 45%. Start using basic stuff, no zoom call- and it hits 80% + I9 Ultra, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD and only SW on hard drive.

Solid high performance laptop
Thie Asus VB S 16 (S5606CA-SB91) is a solid high performance Windows 11 home laptop. The 16-inch OLED 120Hz display will not disappoint. This computerwas easy to set up (including apps network.printer/scanner/fax 27-inch second monitor extension USB hub). The nachine offers plenty of I/O ports including HDMI USB-C USB-A Thunderport. The preinstalled 16GB RAM is adequate to run Windows and applications simultaneously without compromising system speed or performance. If there is a high memory utilization, check in the Task Manager if resources-intensive services, processes or applications are running in the background. Great computer for what I needed it for
Handles lots of VST instruments which is what I needed it for. Weak points are the graphics card and no Ethernet port. Also memory can not be updated. Screen looks great.

wrong laptop for me
The laptop appeared to be a very good model but very different from the one I was replacing. I am 81 years old and it was too difficult for me to learn. I returned it the next day and instead bought a different laptop that will be easier for me to learn to use.

Almost perfect!
Very high quality laptop, amazing screen, keyboard and the build quality is very sturdy yet light. Has a great cpu with a built in gpu and has plenty of great ai features like facial recognition sign in. Only downside is the battery life is pretty low (about 5 hours).

Terrible laptop do not purchase
The trackpad stopped working randomly 30 days afte I bought it but I could restart through powershell. The audio output hardware stopped working 45 days after purchase. It then went into a bootloop a day later. Likely RAM failure. Laughable for a $1000+ device. Extremely unsatisfied and ASUS ought to be ashamed.
