Let's you look ahead and plan the year
It's pretty simple but it's a great planning tool to organize events appointments and important milestones. You can open the pages and see an entire month at a time and there is room on the right margin for important dates phone numbers etc. I've used these calendars since I was in college (late 1060's) and they continue to be an important planning tool for me.
