Poor item
Bought this as a Christmas gift (23), at the A store. THis grinder got TERRIBLY noisy and high vibrations. It seems like the shaft or hole in the bowl is worn out . THe shaft and blade wobble excessively

It lasted one year
I bought this grinder because of the great reviews. A year after using it, the rubber part that attaches the cup to the main unit wore off and now I’m unable to use it. Buying a new cup is almost the same price of buying a new unit. I expected it to last longer than a year.

Water In Lid
Grinder is nice and quiet. We grind coffee and flax seeds. The problem is that the lid has voids in it. And is not sealed....so after washing there is moisture trapped in the lid. After washing it can take days for the lid to completely dry. Combine moisture with organic material (e.g. ground flax seeds) and you have a recipe for bacteria and mold. The lid should ...

Good for about two years.
I bought my first one of these four or five years ago. The threading where the grinding mechanism attaches to the motor stripped after about two years, rendering the machine useless. I thought it was an isolated thing, so I wrote it off (because it is a relatively quiet grinder) and bought another. Same thing just happened. Not a quality product.

Does all the work without the noise
I bought this grinder approx 6 months ago and use it daily. It's a fantastic little machine and does a great job with all grind types/sizes. Would certainly buy again and the value for quality, performance and design was a perfect fit. Love removable bowl. Poor construction
I purchased a year ago and have used this grinder about 5 times to grind spices. Directions for use were followed carefully during use. It is quiet, however upon using it recently, the screw that attaches the blade sheared off. Of course the warranty is up, option of sending it to be repaired, but it costs about as much as a new grinder and I'm now left with a broken g...

Stopped working after 2 months
This unit worked good for two months. It worked as advertised and was fairly quiet. Unfortunately the unit stopped working after only a few months of use. I have reason to believe that it is related to the motor.

Great Grinder!
I have used other Krups grinders in the past and they have worked great for the money. We had a new Kitchen Aid we purchased and it was just JUNK!, so I went back on the hunt for a new grinder and found the Krups vortex. I bought one and we love it, so I'm purchasing another one as a spare. We take our coffee seriously!! Thanks!

Amazingly Quiet
Wow this grinder is a MAJOR improvement over our old cheapo coffee grinder! My husband used to put a potholder over the old one it was so loud and obnoxious. Great Results
I have used this for both grinding coffee beans & dried herbs. This handy small but powerful machine grinds the coffee beans to a fine textured perfection which results in an amazingly flavorful cup of coffee. Love it!
I bought this to grind fresh spices and seasonings, and it really works well! It's the perfect size for my needs and I really appreciate that it's not loud. I'm not a coffee drinker but this would definitely be a great grinder for coffee too.

Fair grinder
This grinder is just fair I’d say. It’s a little difficult to clean and takes some time to figure out what settings to use. Maybe I’m just not doing something right. It will sometimes get warm to the touch when using for more than 15-20 seconds which is somewhat concerning. It has worked so far for what I’ve needed it for though.

High end quality
I like everything about this grinder. It is easy to operate, looks stylish, and performs it's job nicely. I've used it to grind peppercorns, coffee, flax seed, and more. Very versatile and does a superb job at grinding the mediums.

Great product!
I got this grinder about a month ago and it's been a absolutely amazing! I have been looking around online and heard about this one from a buddy of mine. It works great, easy to clean and super quiet! I highly recommend!

Great for coffee and spices
The silent vortex grinder is multifunctional! Not only is it great for coffee but I use it to grind up refresh spices as well. It really is silent. I can use it without waking anyone up in the mornings and it grinds coffee beans evenly.

Perfect for Gardening Prep
We like to grind up egg shells for our garden but it's a pain using a mortar and pestel so an electric grinder is the best. The Krups Silent Vortex Electric Grinder is the best for doing just this. You can decide on how fine you want anything to be. From a coarse ground to an almost powder. It's perfect for spices, coffee, or even egg shells for the garden.

Awesome Kitchen Gear!
I am super happy with my Krups Silent Vortex Electric Grinder. It is so easy to use. I love using it to grind my own coffee beans! Fresh coffee is the greatest! The grinder is relatively quiet and it's a nice compact size so it doesn't take up much space at all.
