Convenient and economical
This printer is networked with others, but is the one nearest my husband's desk, for a quick print. Not only does it fit in a handy location, but it is possible to change the ink catrtidge for just one color. He goes through masses of yellow ink, so this is less wasteful.

Wobbly cord
Cord doesnt stay in printer. Very loose and wobbly. I would have simply replaced the cord if you had that option. Im having to replace the whole unit.

Much better printer than the one we had
A much better printer than our previous Canon. The printer responds quickly when a file is sent to print, and prints very fast without any glitches. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Brother Work Smart Printer MFCJ1360DW
Compact design and performs all of the functions I require. Reasonably easy to set up, connect, and use. Ink cartridges much easier to insert than the Epsom printer I previously had. Time will tell if my rating changes one way or another.

Not a friend of Apple computer
Finally after ordering this printer on 12/31/25, it successfully spit out a print alignment test on the night of 01/13/26. It is a fine machine - doing all I need it to do. But it's almost impossible to set up without a cell phone WITH a SCANNER. Decent printer for the price
The printer wasn't too hard to set up and it works. Not a great printer, but ok for the price. It is light and feels cheaper.
For good colour, you need a higher end model. I had a higher end Brother printer before this, and preferred it but it finally had the print heads go because we didn't use it often enough.

Good all-in-one machine, terrible installation pro
The machine works great....once you get it to install. From reading reviews and personal experience with installing other Brother printers I knew this would be a chore. It took several attempts over about 1 hour to get it to install and connect to my PC correctly. Once installed everything worked correctly. Brother printers are a Great Product
This is my fourth Brother printer. They all work fantastically well.
I have the HL-2240, HL-3280CDW, MFC-J460DW, and this MFCJ1010DW.

DONT BUY BROTHER PRODUCTS - REGARDLESS!
What a scam you are running. Buy this cheap computer and then you can only buy ink in bundles and it cost you a fortune! NO THANKS! I will write every consumer report possible and spread the word that this is a scam.

Wastes color ink on black and white
Terrible. I print only in BLACK AND WHITE, and then when I run out of color ink, I have to replace those color cartridges before I can continue in BLACK AND WHITE. Absolute scam.

The Brother MFCJ1010DW is designed to stop ALL printing operations when any of the ink cartridges have reached their end-of-life. This is to ensure the life of the printhead and to maintain premium print quality. Some ink from all the ink cartridges is used in periodic cleaning cycles. This helps to prevent issues such as printhead clogs and poor print quality. There is no way to bypass this feature. If one or more color ink cartridges are low but not at the end of their usable life and you want to minimize the use of color ink, change the settings in the Brother software to print with black ink only (grayscale). If you print with black ink only, the other ink cartridges must have ink for the printer to print. When an ink cartridge is depleted, you must replace it before you can print. If you print with black ink only, the printer may still use small amounts of ink from all the ink cartridges for occasional servicing tasks. Brother recommends that you replace any low ink cartridges to avoid any interruptions in printing. I have included a link to the FAQ answer that should assist you.
