Extremely Disappointed ā Longtime Simplehuman Customer

Iām writing because Iām genuinely frustrated with the 58L Step Recycler we purchased, especially given how long Iāve been a loyal Simplehuman customer.

Larger than you thought, this vessel holds a lot of refuse. The compost bin fits securely on the side and is at a better height than on the floor, nicer than on the counter. Biggest perk, the can doesn't slide!

Good but Materials Could Be Improved
This trash+recycling can is the perfect size and setup for my family's usage patterns and for our kitchen. The main drawback is that the lid lift mechanism has plastic parts that will wear out in a few years and cannot be repaired. We love our new trash
We love our new trash can because of the three āpāsā. It is pretty- looks exceptional in our space. It is practical- the size of both bins suit the needs of the two of us for a week well. It is perfect- it is the right height, depth, and width. As always Simplehuman products are designed beautifully.

Absolutely stunning
Was on the hunt for the perfect trashcan to go with my champagne bronze fixtures and handles in my kitchen. This is the Cadillac of trashcans. Love it so much, could never go back.

simplehuman Trash Can Warranty
Simplehuman definitely offers the best quality products all the way around. Purchased chrome trash can about 8 years ago with a 10 year warranty. Not only did they abide by the warranty but knew I was moving and delivered a new trash can within a week or less!!

Great dual purpose bin
Great dual purpose bin but a little bigger than I thought it would be therefore takes up too much space (visually) in my small kitchen. However that's down to me as not good at visualising things.
Not going to return as practically something smaller would not accomodate my recycling and rubbish needs so have just found somewhere else to put it other than the kitchen.

Why not make it scratch resistant and able to change order of bins?
For the price of this product, it feels like it is not made for actual use. Itās flashy, but got scratched as we removed it from box. Also would love to be able to switch the recycling to the other side, but thereās no option to.
