H & R Block Tax Software
I have used H & R Block Tax Software for years with good success. It does get updated occasionally so I have never had a problem. You get 5 free e-files for the federal tax return but can do more and send them in the mail. The State taxes can be sent in the mail or you can pay to transmit it with your federal taxes. I believe they charge somewhere between $29.95-$39...

Frustrated With the way I received my software
I bought the software from you and I had to call H&R Block and they refunded my State Tax fee, and said I need to contact Staples for the software download , but they refused because they said that dowloaded software cannot be reduced. I would advise them and you to send a CD in the mail which would alleviate this problem

Gets the job done
I purchased this because TurboTAX no longer supports Windows 10. Microsoft may have bailed on it, but there is a one year extension for updates, and many, many people still use it. Not cool Intuit.
HRB does not feel as polished as TurboTAX, but it gets the job done. I have used it on and off for decades (since it was known as TaxCut), and it does not look lit has evolve...

Surprise refund
After downloading my 2024 Turbo Tax return my screen showed a federal tax refund of $2,146 before I entered any current data. Can’t get rid of it. Will try starting a new return to see if the beginning refund will go away.

Great software, easy to use
Been using H&R software for 15 years or so now and I almost enjoy using it. It figures the tax and the return (if there is one) accurately and e-filing is very easy. Get return bac in 2 or 3 weeks.

H&R Block was a big mistake
I bought this as a download because a CD was not available. It was a mistake.Immediately, I could tell that this software differed greatly from the “other” brand and wasn’t near as user friendly. Needless to say, I wasted 45 dollars because I ended up going back to the old software and did not use this after all. I was really disappointed in this purchase. Lesson learne...

Not as user friendly as in the past
Had to call HR Block to get it downloaded. After entering some info in program, it asked me to download the program again and I lost all previous data.
