Staples & MasterCard lost a loyal customer today — READ OTHER’S REVIEWS
I typically read customer reviews before buying anything online. I made a huge mistake in not reading the reviews for this card before buying. I needed gift cards for an event, saw these on Staples site and bought 5 of them without hesitation. Never recieved the card. Ripoff!
4 hours with customer service and one week waiting for an email delivery. No help. They charged me but sent no cards. Yes I checked spam.

Pain to use
These gift cards are impossible to register and use. Still haven’t t been able to get them to work anywhere. Never again.

Pain to activate
Due to some “unknown technical issue” these cards would not activate via the web. It required a phone call. However they worked after calling.

Activation is not easy
This needs to be addressed. Card comes with an instruction sheet to call 1.800 number to activate but when you call ... they ask everything and go to website. Customer service with master card is sick but staples is great

Can't Activate
All of the numbers on the card and the insert are wrong. You get a phone number and you get a website.
You go to the website and it doesn't accept the digits on the back.
Took 45 minutes to solve. HORRIBLE.

Trouble to activate the card
Unbelievable. They had issues to activate cards last year. Thought they have fixed the issue already. I bought a few cards last month but none of the methods provided by the instruction works. Instructions give a phone number for activation. The number says to go to giftcardkey. Giftcardkey says that the 19 digit number on the card number is wrong, then the whole proces...

Easy order - Complicated Activation - Long Delivery time
This is not a very complicated sale, but it took a very long time to receive them, and the description on how to activate was way longer and more complicated than it needs to be.

Be careful - many buyers have had activation problems
I purchased several of these cards online in late January. I received them fairly quickly, around February 5. However, none of the cards were activated properly. Outrageous PITA
These cards wouldn't activate no matter what I did and all my purchases with them were getting rejected. Blackhawk wouldn't acknowledge the problem and I was ping-ponged across multiple departments until I finally found someone willing to acknowledge the problem. Buyer beware GCs are not activated
Awful this card was delivered without activation and I have spent way too much time trying to get it resolved. I can’t use the card as it gets denied bc it’s not activated

Do NoT Buy
None of the 10 cards I bought work. Now in a true customer service nightmare. Staples is a reseller. They cannot help you when the cards go bad which they always seem to do. Beware. Never again.

Worst thing to buy
These cards are worthless. No wonder the reviews are horrendous. DO NOT ORDER THESE from Staples. They customer service is pathetic and so is that of issuer. Won't be able to use these cards even if you got them. Stay away

Card could not be activated.
Called the provided number/code and was told the card could not be activated. After speaking with the rep, was told the card had an issue with MasterCard and could not be used. Was told by the rep to call MasterCard to resolve the issue. Why would the burden be put upon the customer? Beware of the risk involved.
