Excellent laser printer
This Brother MFC-L8900CDW printer is huge, but was easy to set up and the copies are crisp and beautiful. It is hardwired to my computer and wireless connected to my husband’s computer. It prints from my iPad and my iPhone…YES!
The only issue is with the cost of replacement print cartridges.
I still recommend this printer for those who do a lot of printing at home...

WASTE OF MONEY
Ran fine for about 9 months with one glitch - the printer kept telling me that the yellow cartridge was empty after I replaced it. That happened once until this December when it happened repeatedly. Doesn't work; terrible support
Within three months of installing this printer it began to fail. Smudging all along one edge, shadow repeats of text, pink shading on any color printed page, toner that won't bond and is rubbed off on your hands. Great printer at a reasonable price
I was in the market to upgrade to a color printer from my MFC-L5850DW and it was between this and the EcoTank ET-5170/5180. doesn't print post cards
told the rep we needed a printer that prints post cards, it does but it doesn't have full bleed, so we can't print business cards and it smudges in the middle and the tray only holds about 10 or so of the card stock. As a printer, it's fast but that's not what we need it for.

They sent an update that destroyed the printer literally 1 month after warranty. Never buy a brother product!!!!

Thought it was ok
Purchased July 2023 seemed fine, slow and loud but worked without issue. Oct 2024- receiving a "replace Laser" error & will work and then with beep and freeze. Just missed the 1 yr warranty. Will need a purchase another printer for our office, will not be purchasing again.

We have had this printer barely a week and we are returning it. The quality is something I would expect from a garage sale printer. Brand new printer, already used up all the "High Yield" toner that came with it on a whopping 649 prints! The images all are grainy, have lines, too much magenta, not enough yellow. Great copier
This Brother MFC-L8900CDW printer/copier replaced another Brother copier that I had for over 10 years. I am sold on Brother copiers/printers. Their tech support is really good. So far it is working great. Am sure I will get many years of use from it.

Had this printer for two months. It replaces a Brother MFC9340CDW which I had for many years. Setup was easy. Hooking to Wi-Fi was easy. Extremely slow!!
I've had trouble with this printer from the first day. It prints extremely slow when it decides to print at all. I had a new router installed, thinking that it wasn't making a good connection with our computers, but that hasn't worked either. I had the same printer for years and loved it, but this one is a lemon!!.
