Great writing tablet! It's affordable, unique, high quality and very cool.
First, let me start by saying, prior to purchasing the Blackboard, I bought Boogie Board 8.5 for my father as a gift. I was so impressed that I bought one for myself. I used it for a few days. Soon after, I realized that I needed another one with more writing space. I found this one after doing some research. Apparently, it was just released.

I’m deaf, I was looking for a way to family to write me information. This board wasn’t bright like others boards I’ve used and there was no solid back to it. It wasn’t for me. Boogie Board Blackboard Reusable Smart
Didn't work right in the box but worked fine when removed form packaging. When pressing button wrining dims and erasing with pencil easer end removes it completely. Works great and is nice size.

Its okay I guess..
For the price I would look at another brand. I had a smaller boogie board in the past that worked better. The erase feature doesn't work all that well, even after calibration...TBH it's harder to erase on this board then normal pad & paper. Get One!! Incredibly Fun!!
These boogie boards are awesome! Make sure to get one. You can draw on them and then erase it and then draw again and draw again and draw again and then to save it you can either do what the instructions or you can just take a picture of it which is easier and then you can draw again. And they make great road trip toys. (kid's review)

The board is okay, though can be a little hard to read.
I found that trying to erase just a word or small section of the writing is not possible.
But for quick notes between my family it's usable.

Disappointing
The erase feature does not work well, so you can't make changes on what you write on the screen easily. The "clear all" features works well, but that is only OK if you want to just start over. I was hoping to use this for a "To-Do" list, so I could erase items as I completed them, but if I can erase them, it won't work for what I wanted it for. A fun etcha-sketch lik...

Just wasent for me
I enjoyed the idea of this, but it would not work for my needs. I was needing something that offered internal storage for over one page, then screenshot with my cell. I did like the transparent nature of the device I could have used it with my kids but the tint is so drak that even a white page becomes dark and hard to see.
