Works okay.
Manual is not good for information about the battery. Should state that it requires an 18650 Li-ion battery that's not included in the box. Fortunately, I have some laying around. Second, I'm not sure if the battery can charge in the unit using the the cable. If it can't, the double sided tape that is provided would be useless as it would be a one time use since I would...

I bought this a couple weeks ago. Doesn’t come with a battery. Their hard to find. Ordered one on line and put it in. It will not charge so can only use this product plugged in.

Thermascan
This is the second one of the Thermascan that we have had. We use it everyday by several different people. We are a Senior Center and they like to check and make sure they do not have a temperature. It's easy for the Seniors to use. The first one we had just quit and we could not get it going so we just bought another one.

Too Loud - Great Functionality
Working in a residential facility, these mounted Therma Scans are great. Would be five stars if there was an option to either lower or turn off the very loud beep.

This thing simply unties my staff from the temperature station and keeps people away from others. It’s awesome. If you need to take temps use this. You can use a wrist or the neck if needed. Light enough to mount with a tack and you can do batter and or plug in.

This item requires re-chargeable batteries: 18650 Li.
It does not bring those batteries (box does not mention that), but it brings charging cord for those batteries. On top of that, that model of battery is not available on STAPLES website.
