If it's Apple, you know it's good
My iPhone and car were not cooperating because of a knock-off charging cord, and I kept getting lost when Maps would disappear. Stopped at the first Staple store for an Apple cord and I haven't gotten lost since!

More expensive but worth it
I have gone through so many chargers and cords, "may not be compatible with this device." They work at first but eventually quit. This applies even to accessories that are supposedly Apple certified or compatible. Bottom line, you have to bite the bullet and spring for the Apple product. I sense a plot.

Almost perfect
The quick start instructions should show the screens that appear on the printer to make it easier to install. There are other instructions such as "load paper tray empty" that should state option of 4c6 or 81/2 X11 so you know what the prompt means.
