Exactly what I was looking for but didn't know what to call it.
Using a non-techy description I asked a clerk for what I was looking for. He understood me and walked me directly to what I needed. The Vivitar Card Reader helped in the transfer of 1950s 8mm movie film to my laptop preserving some very fond memories. So very easy to use. Worked perfectly. handy & functional & very pleased
I haven’t had it long just a couple of weeks but have kept it busy and it’s keeping me happy. Speed? — it’s fast enough I never think about how long it takes to load new photos. One charming bit — when I got it out of the package I thought the end caps for the 2 USB connectors looked too short but they’re not and they snap on firmly so I’m not expecting to ever lose...

Not the answer to my problem

Needed to View Security Cam Footage
I bought this for my security cameras and trail cameras so I could view the footage. It does exactly what it’s supposed to. This one has an SD port and a mini SD port and is compatible with both Mac and PC platforms.

The assistants explained that there were different kinds of flash drives. I had inadvertently picked the wrong kind. He explained in depth refunded my money and Si purchased the right kind. Most appreciative!
