I have had a Brother MFC-J430W for several years. I have NO complaints and I will believe this is a functional device.

too costly
It's WAY too expensive!! I have my printer set on "normal" (the lowest) for both the computer and copy quality abut I am constantly buying ink. I have a "brother" printer and I can't afford to buy another printer...but it would probably be just the same.

the BROTHER ink cartridge
Compact, reasonably inexpensive considering how long it lasts, easy to replace although sometimes kinda difficult to find. I was lucky to find twoā¦a small and large cartridge. I bought both.

Over priced
I recently payed over $80. For three colors in high yield and black in regular yield. I could have bought the same cartridges (except with high yield black) elsewhere for $43. online. Research before you buy.
