Inconsistent ink flow
I loved them at first, then quickly disliked them. Depending on what paper I'm trying to write on, notebook vs copy vs Post-It, etc., sometimes they're amazing, sometimes it's so light you can barely read what you wrote, and others it's patchy at best.

I like these pens but I do remember when you could write with them upside down. No longer!!!

Pilot Roller Ball Pens
My favorite pens for decades. No effort to write because they glide so well.

Ink is dried up
The service Staples provides is great. But the pens don't work well; the ink seems to be dried up

Once you start using it, it's fine.
The pen may need a bit of a kick start when you first start using it. Take a piece of scrap paper and roll the pen around a few times and then it should be good and provide a nice smooth ink with brilliant color. Maybe the pack I had was sitting on the display for too long and thus needed the small start.

Precise V7 rollerball pens
Glad to have tried the V7. Okay for the crosswords. For my style of penmanship I prefer the V5.

Not Staples OptiFlow Pens, but They'll Do
Staples discontinued their needle-point OptiFlow pens. This is a decent substitute. The barrel is more narrow than the OptiFlow. Bring back the OptiFlow!

Pilot
They do not continue to write - one needs to press hard on scratch paper to open up the tip. Usually I like Pilot, but not really happy with these.

Disappointed
The first pen lasted less than a week before running out of ink.
