This is another example of poor products sold by Staples. The eraser does not work and the lead broke very easily.

Pentel Twist-Erase III Mechanical Pencil 0.9mm #2 Medium Lead 2/Pac
Lead writing worked fine the extra erasers were too small in fitting for refill. Since we have our bigger separate erasers this did not matter but if needed you wouldn’t buy again.

Rentel Twist-Erase III Mechanical Pencil 0.9mm #2Medium Lead etc.
I have always wish to have a mechanical pencil with a 0.9mm medium Lead so I could see a darker lead as I used it. This is what I like.It's a much stronger pencil as well. Great pencil!
I love this mechanical pencil and have had at least one in my possession for the past couple of decades so when my old one began to fall apart I just had to get a replacement and was pleased to find them at Staples.

Typical plastic pencil
The store didn't have my favorite pencil in 0.9mm lead. This pencil set was all I could find. It cost more than I've ever paid for mechanical pencils but I splurged thinking the barrels were metal. Best Mechanical Pencil
The only pencil of any kind that exists for me is the Pentel Twist-Erase Mechanical Pencil. It is far superior to any thing else on the market. I hoard my Pentel Twist-Erase. MK
