Plastic folders are great
The plastic folders slip in and out of the file cabinet more easily than card stock ones do. I like that they are sturdy and easy to handle. The color coding is an additional plus.

maybe this is just on me but wish the tabs were on on the same spot/side so for filling would be easier to pick out and look at for a colored plastic pack

I like the durability. The enclosed labels immediately started curling and peeling. I had to overlay them with clear packing tape. Avoid stacking multiple folders on top of the file cabinet. They will slide right off.
For all of my minor complaints, I would buy them again.
