It used to be great
I was a professional painter for over 10 years. I ALWAYS used the blue tape. I now only paint for family and friends and recently bought this absolute garbage tape and what an absolute waste of money. Trying to pull any length of tape and it rips in weird places. It's unusable in a hand masker. The worst tape on the market DO NOT BUY.

Pretty good product, requires a 2nd mortgage....
Scotch Painters Tape is a pretty good product generally. That said, the price, as of late, is userously high. $8.50 for a single roll of tape! You should make the cashiers wear a mask when you pay.

Worst Tape Ever
Tape dont stick to nothing. I cleaned everything and it still wont stick. Not even to plastic. Big waste of money and time having to go re tape everything over and over. Afraid when its finally time to paint its just gonna blow off and im gonna ruin everything I tried covering. Horrible results when removing 2090 tape
I put this tape down over a quality primer and premium paint. It's horrible when removed. My work has doubled. I must go back and repaint.

Horrible
Bought this about a month ago. Tried to use it on a freshly painted wall when I was touching up the trim. It will not stick to wall. It won’t even stick to itself. 3M is a trusted company. Very disappointed

Makes more work, not less.
I spent time applying this tape a couple hours ago to dry walls. When I went to take it off, it took off the paint from those walls! Now I have to repaint those areas and obviously can’t use this tape. Very disappointed.

Not worth paying extra total rip off!
I paid almost double figuring I was going to get the best. What I got was the peeling of my walls and ceiling while painting my trim. I didn’t even leave the tape on for more the 10 hours. So very disappointed now I have to pay more money to repaint ceiling & walls! So mad!!!

CRAP
I have never had an issue before with this until today. We used it to paint some trim that was added. It has pulled my wallpaper!!! I am so upset!! It’s not cheap wallpaper!!

Destroyed everything it touched! It caused more damage than protection. It took off paint and chunks of the drywall.
