The "soft feel" refers to the barrel of the pen. I mistakingly thought "soft" meant it would write smoothly. Absolutely not - I didn't like how writing with these felt (not dry, but definitely not smooth) and returned them.

This pen is just okay. It writes too lightly and was a disappointment. I gave mine away and stopped using them almost immediately.

Pens fell apart
Con: Poor quality, will not order again. The tip keeps falling off. They are cheaply made. The clip doesn't keep the pen clipped in breast pocket.

Padding
It would be helpful to have more padding around the base to help people with arthritic hands. Very difficult to write with a thin pen or pencil.
