Three times we ordered the pens, returned them and reordered them because when they arrived most, if not all of them, did not write! This is the first time this has happened to us. Great Pen but don't really need a dozen
I've been a big fan of these pens (black and red) ever since they were introduced as plotter pens in the 90s. I go through a lot of the black ones and a few red ones per year. Some of the red ones will dry out more quickly as they get older but I still buy them.

Great pens . . . except . . .
These pens are bold and clean. The only problem is that they dry out if they sit in a drawer for more than a month. Never buy more than you need for a few weeks.

Smooth line, but it has a curios effect, to bleed thu cheap paper. The red is all important for grading.

These are one of my favorite pens
The only thing I can't understand is why the red ones cost more than the black and blue ones.
However, for marking up drawings, etc. I find them to be the best. It's just my preference. They last a long time and always "roll" when used.

Pen Purchase
I have found that these pens don't tend to write particularly well. When you first open the box they have a tendency to be dry. I think these pens should be phased out but my supervisor loves these pens and doesn't want to order any other kind.

Pentel Rolling Writer Pens
I have been using these pens for many years. I use the Black, Blue and Red. For some reason the Red pens run out of ink in a very short time. In fact, some of the red ones don't even write. The Red pens are obviously defective and have been for about a year. It would be nice if Pentel solved this annoying problem.

Bold, bright, and lasts a long time
Use it when you need your writing to stand out. Have used same pen in black and green along with the red when taking notes or marking my calendar. Only downside is it can smear on glossy surfaces.

Teachers grade papers w/ solid red line.
I usually buy three to six dozen at a time and was surprised to find they were no longer available locally. I had to look a couple of months prior to finding them on the internet.
