Quink is not a good replacement
I do not like the quality of the Quink refill. The flow is inconsistent.

Refill fits my pen
I received a off brand pen as a gift and have been using it religiously. It just ran out of ink, so I went to Staples to find a refill. This Parker refill matched up best with the one in my pen, which isn't a Parker pen. Parker Blue Gel-Ink Refills
Parker Gel-Ink refills are the best. They write very smoothly and last a long time. The .7 mm Medium Tips are the best for my uses. They made a decently wide line that is easy to read.

Refill availability
Not every pen of quality was meant to be disposable. Once I find a pen with a good fit and feel I like to keep it which requires the availability of quality refills. Its nice to have them available in the store for easy access.

Perhaps expired gel ink cartridges
I've only opened one of the two pkgs I bought but the ink cartridge I tried was apparently nearly dry. It skipped badly and lines are faint. Pretty disappointed with the purchase.
