Great tape, especially the older ones
I’ve had one of these on my hip all day every weekday for the last 10 years or so. It’s a great tape, no doubt. Gotta say though that I’m disappointed that the new ones are plastic. I have an older metal case tape and I love the heft it has. I’d urge Stanley to bring back the metal case tapes. Even if you up charge them and offer them as a “premium” line. I’ll pay...

Great…except…
These old school style tapes are great. They don’t have fractions to distract your eyes, which I wish everyone would offer, because it is the make or break feature (lack there of) that determines if I’m going to buy the product. If you can’t figure out how to read a tape, practice on your own time. This 12’ is the perfect size for keeping on you without catching on eve...

Glad they still make them.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using these 12’ powerlock tapes since the early 80’s. I use them in a welding shop environment so they get beat up pretty bad. The 3/4 “ blade is nice and firm, and the numbers on the tape are clearly printed. I only wish they still made the metal ones.

Handy and compact
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this tape measure for a number of years and it still functions like new. The Mylar coating on the tape is starting to show some wear and tear. This is the first tape measure my grandkids pick up to use and has been very helpful in their learning to measure and fractions.

Built Well, Long Lasting
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my Stanley Powerlock II 12' Tape Measure 33-312 for over 35 years. It continues to work flawlessly, unlike other brands that have lasted less than 5 years. My Powerlock II Tape Measure is easy to use, read and the tape lock works.

Best tape measure
This was the first tape measure ever purchased but can't remember where.
We got married in 1963 and being a new homeownerI thought I needed some tools.
My youngest son (born in 1968) bent the tape beyond repair when he and friends were playing . . . .something. I bought a replacement but it is now becoming hard to read.
Over the years I have purchased others, been ...

great tape measure
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this tape measure for better than 10 yrs. It is finally wearing out. It has been dropped, left out in the weather, etc... and the tape is now getting hard to read. It has been one of the best tape measures I have ever owned. I will be upgrading to a Fatmaxx for my next one.

Only tape measure I'll use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started using the Stanley 12 ft. Powerlock Tape Measure in 1970, when I entered the Cabinetmaker's OJT program, upon my return from Vietnam, and discharge from the Army.
I've been using them ever since. In 1988, when I opened my own shop, I had 12 employees, and bought all of them these tape measures, to ensure we w...

Metal Case
I bought this purely for the metal case. It has become my pocket tape and I am quite satisfied with it.
