Since 2004...
I’ve been using Stanley Fat Max tapes since 2004, to me when a product is made right I struggle getting down with impersonations... the fat max stand out works great and the body of these tapes holds up to the abuse I’ve given them... over all the competitors just haven’t made a tape as simplistic and perfect as this, and I don’t think they ever will. Not what they used to be.
Fat Max used to be a great tape measure. They are made of thinner metal now and are absolutely worthless.They buckle like a wet noodle when you try to extend them.I expected better from Stanley Tools.

Pictures show made in USA but when I received it says made in Thailand. Lies.

Awesome tape
One of the best tapes I've owned. As a pipefitter I use it daily and it holds up to some of the toughest jobsite conditions. Make sure you buy the American made version sometimes the promotion fatmax tape packs are not. Only cons is I wish there was a version with bottom sided measurements and the belt clip screw could be stronger as I've had em strip out before. Other ...

They are my favorite tape measures. Tried most of the competitors and this one last longer.
Rubber grip makes a great pencil mark eraser.
Constantly measuring over 20 foot long gutters so they get alot of full length usage. Have a few broken ones I would like to test warrantee on also

These tapes used to be thicker and more rigid. Now the metal is thinner and the tape flops over way too often. I have been using the fat max since they came out and now I don’t ever want to buy another one.

Could be better!
Overall it's a very good tool to have, however the hook is too short. It's frustrating when you grab the end of a board or object and you walk the tape to your measurement length and it releases on its own. Ultimately needing someone or something to hold it steady to get an accurate measurement. 1/16" longer hook would help, but 1/8" longer would make it perfect. I own ...

Stanley Fatmax measuring tapes are the best!
I’ve been using Stanley’s tape measures for over 45 years! When they came out with “Fatmax”, that became my go-to for all my work. I’ve tried other brands, but none of them met my standards. My favorite is the 16’er. But the 25’er comes next.

The only choice for a tape measure
I've bought every brand of tape measure there is. Stanley has got the metallurgy right on their tape measures, hold up better than than rest with better "real world" standout

Great Product
This 16 footer has a stickout length of over 11 feet before it folds. This is great when reaching out toThe tape features a 1" wide blade with easy to read increments. A nice sturdy belt clip that will not let your tape fall off your pants easily catch the edge on whatever you are measuring. Tried and true
Still one of the best Tapes on the market. I love the Fatmax because of the ability to extend the tape well beyond other tape measures, with out it folding in half. Make the Job mich easier whe. You dont need 2 people to hold the tape.

Reliable Tape Measure
This is my go-to for tape measures. It's reliable and accurate, and I've never had a problem with it breaking or failing in the middle of a job. It's also pretty rigid, and works well at 16+ feet when extended.

Fat Max
Overall the tape measure is easy to read and great length. The with if this tape is perfect for my large hands. It is hard to miss place. The only negative would be the first foot is not broken down like other tapes they make.

This is the big tape for the big jobs
This is the big tape I pull out for framing, siding, and fence building. I love the Stanley Leverlock for small jobs and handyman tasks, but this one has a 11' standout and super clear and easy to read numbers and graduations. Nice black rubber grip and enough bright yellow to make it easy to find on the jobsite.

Durable, industry standard, but needs a magnet
Stanley is the industry standard when it comes to tape measures. The Fatmax can be found in any working man's truck, tool bag, or job chest and he's probably got another one on his hip. I gave this product 4 stars because if you're going to get a tape measure, I feel like you should go the extra mile and get the magnetic Fatmax over the classic. Maybe if you're a welder...

FATMAX Delivers as usual.
Fatmax has always been one of my go to tape measures. It is easy to read and the blade is sturdy. It says it has a 14ft stand out. I found I could get around 12ft. Not a deal breaker. Retract is a good speed. I don't feel it will snap back. So far I am very happy with it. I have started to see numbers on the back side of the tape also. That is a nice feature when you ar...
