Useless
Im not sure if it was missing the rubber piece on the front of it when it was sent to me or if its just made the way it is, but all the dirt went directly under the gap. Staples refunded me no problem which is good.

So far so good
I've used it a handful of times since I received it a week ago. I was pleasantly surprised by this dustpan! It's lightweight yet the handle and pan are surprisingly sturdy. I've used similar dustpans in the past with rubber or plastic edges but once the strip wore off they stopped picking up dirt and small particles effectively. I had the same concern with this one ...

convenient to sweep

Would not buy again
The floor pan doesn’t lock like my last one. When you lift it to dump it into the garbage can , it flips closed.

Poor qualtiy control
It doesn't matter what surface you use this on the center will not make contact with the floor. Dust and crumbs will just be pushed under the pan.

Quality Not What it used to be
These have long been my favorite dustpans to use in my kitchens and restaurants. I just bought a box of 4 and they all have the same issue. The bottom edge of the pan is curved so when you sweep a pile into it all the small particles just go under the pan and only the big particles are captured. Hard to consider it a dustpan when it doesn't pick up dust.
