Name brand highest quality is the only way to go when selling to your market. Instant name recognition for a manufacturer of products that I have purchased from for literally decades as I am now in my 70's. As the quality has stayed consistent over time cuts down on returns or even complaints as expectations are met or exceeded every time.

Self-heal?
I don’t know how long it’s supposed to take the mat to self-heal but I still feel the cuts from my xacto knife from a few days ago. Otherwise it’s a good sturdy mat.

Great cutting mat
I ordered this online and received a completely different item they shipped again and finally received my cutting mat. It is sturdy. I'm not sure about the self-healing ability don't expect it to heal like Wolverine.

All that the name implies
This is very minor - the mat is not 12" x 18". The printed scale is 11" x 17" and the mat itself just a wee bit bigger.

Mat that arrived is not as pictured here on the web site. I wanted what was shown. X-acto seems to have changed the design. Staples should change photo on the site to what they are going to send.
