Elmer's glue and sewing
One of my favorite sewing tool for basting is Elmer's glue - far better than pins and cheaper than specialized, fabric adhesive. It washes out and doesn't damage sewing machines.

best glue stick I've found
These sticks seem to last longer than other brands I've used with my pre-k/kindergarten class. They don't dry out as fast and they seem to adhere better than other brands, too.

One purpose
Bought this for recycling unused postage stamps. The old bottle of Elmer's ended up with a blocked nozzle that I could not open. So far, used twice and nothing returned to me fromUSPS, so good so far.the stick design shows promise for longevity
