no residue
We use this often for meetings and events were we have to run extension cords audio and lighting cables to keep them out of the way and professional looking. The Pro-Gaff brand is one of the best ones to avoid getting residue or glue left on floors and cords.

Prefer 3" Gaffer's Tape Over 2" Version.
We've tried both the 2" and 3" versions of gaffer's tape and we prefer this 3" version. We tape down AV cables that need to cross the carpet during conferences and events at our office. When we use the 3" tape we only need to use one strip rather than two overlapping strips of the 2" tape. It is more expensive but it also saves time. Recommended!
