NO INSTRUCTIONS
It does not give instructions as you advertise is in the box...the only thing in there tells me how to put it batteries, (DUH!) and how to put in the cartridges...there are not instructions on how to use the different features on the keyboard...

Power cord not included
I was so excited to get a label maker that I missed the part where it was lacking a power cord. Since I didn't want to put NINE batteries in I had to seek out a power cord separately. Once I acquired the proper cord necessary I haven't experienced any issues with the label maker itself.

Response from Staples :
Hello Alan,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
To remove the backing from a DYMO D1 tape, follow these steps:
1. Print your label using your DYMO label maker.
2. Once the label is printed, use a pair of scissors or a sharp knife to cut off the excess tape on each end of the label.
3. Then, turn the label over and locate the split in the middle of the backing.
4. Use your fingernail or a pair of tweezers to peel the backing away from the tape at one end of the label.
5. Slowly and carefully peel the backing away from the tape, working your way down the label towards the other end.
6. Once the backing is removed, you can apply the label to your desired surface.
Note: It's important to peel the backing away slowly and carefully to avoid tearing the tape or leaving any adhesive residue on the label. If you do encounter any adhesive residue, you can use a cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol or an adhesive remover to clean it off.
If you are still having issues, please reach out to us via our website or through LiveChat. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am - 5pm Eastern Time.
Thank you!

Screen is too dim
The screen is so dim you can't read it and no way to adjust LCD contrast. Can't return because they don't seem to stock them anymore and I need one. Very disappointed with DYMO on this product. Seems like a fail.

2 In A Row
I had purchased one of these for me business back in October. It worked for roughly the length of a single role of labels. I recently had to bite the bullet and purchase another one. This one did not last as long and had the same issue. The label would not feed out anymore so it just printed in the same spot without moving the label.

Nice Label Maker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this label maker. Can easily do upper and lowercase letters and it even includes boarders, some fun boarders, too. I haven't tried all the options, but does the job I need. Concerned about the somewhat faint screen. I have to hold it at a certain angle to be able to read the screen. I've tried to make it br...

Great way to organize things
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the DYMO LabelManager Desktop Label Maker to organize all the DVDs and video games we have. It helps to point out what's in each case. I like how many different fonts and sizes I can choose so it won't look boring with the same font all the time.

Quit Working
I had a Demo Label Maker that lasted years. This one quit working after a year and a half after only modest use. Very disappointing considering the cost and the fact it ended up in the landfill.

Unable to change language
This is not an easy label maker to operate. The 1st thing it tells you to do is select the language but none of the languages available are English. We've tried to utilize the manual to no avail. The only good thing I cans say about it is that it is light weight and easy to hold and use while holding it.
