Ruined my project
It says it can cut 10 sheets, I was cutting 8 sheets only 8.5 in long and half cut and the other half just tore. I've only cut maybe 30 sheets on this thing total so the blade can't be dull already. I was already on the fence about keeping this but this sealed the deal. Also just like other people said, the laser sucks, it turns off pretty quickly and can only restart b...

Nice cutter
This cutter saved me. Instead it cutting all of my pieces by hand, I went out and bought this. It cuts nicely and the laser is beneficial, but not necessary (which is why I gave it 4 stars) it's overkill. I like to keep things simple, but useful.

Great paper cutter
I love this paper cutter. It has a sharp blade that can cut multiple pages cleanly. I like the ruler markings. It even has a light that shows where the blade will cut on the paper. A great paper cutter.

Laser is not very accurate
The laser sounds like a good idea but this one is cheap and does not stay where you align it. Every 10-20 cuts we had to align the laser again. The laser also shuts off on its own so if you leave the blade up and put a piece of paper in to cut it you need to remove it, lower the blade then bring it back up and align again for the laser to come on. The paper trimmer is great, the laser not so much. The laser is nonfunctional. The paper is always in the way. Best just to buy the trimmer without the laser and save the extra dough.

Useless, cheap laser
The blade was nice and sharp on this unit but the adjustable laser was useless. Why would I need the laser to move? The point of a laser is that it's a fixed point so you know exactly where on the paper you are cutting. The laser stopped working completely after only a few cuts, so the whole appeal of a laser was lost on our office. We returned it pretty immediately.

Poor Quality for price!
Laser constantly doesn't work, blade does not sharpen. Have to cut things multiple times sometimes to get things straight.

not accurate
Really have to pay attention to cut and pressure. Laser does not work all the time. Replaced batteries many times, and recently replaced batteries again and still don't work. Really unhappy with this purchase.

Did not like this cutter.
Decided to go high-tech with this cutter, I mean it has a laser beam! It was just too much adjusting before cutting. The laser has to be aligned before every use and it just can't handle 3 pages of index paper. I went back to heavy duty guillotine model with no special do-dads.

XACTO 12" WOOD BASE LASER TRIMMER
I like this product a lot, however, my only complaint is when you attach the handle onto the arm, it makes the arm a bit heavier and sometimes it's heavier enough to cut your paper before you are ready. I think if the coil holding the arm was a bit tighter, when the handle gets attached, it would be able to hold the weight. Other than that, I really like this product.

Not squaring off at 90 degree angles
It's seems like it could be a great cutter but it isn't precise. I need 90 degree angles on my corners and no matter how I line up the paper (individual card stock, not stacks of paper), it is just a millimeter off but I notice it because I'm trimming my own wedding invitations. Back to the store it goes.
