They are great for quilting.
I use them for any marks on fabric because they are easy to get off the fabric.

Erases without a trace
I haven't seen erasable ink pens in many years, and wonder what their usefulness is, but considering I have no pencils (or sharpener) these fit the use perfectly (even when trying crossword puzzles!) Great for calendars
I really like these FriXion pens for writing things in my calendar. I can erase the dentist appointment that got changed, etc. The only problem is that it is hard to erase completely -- there is still a little residual unless you really work to erase it. But it is so much better that crossing out things.

Used to trace on fabric
Very expensive but make a nice design that can be easily removed with the heat of a hair dryer. Has not reappeared in over a year nor did it leave a stain.
