Might not work for me
The unit is very light weight. It is so light that I have to use two hands, one to hold the sharpener an one to sharpen. Not real happy with it. I’m sorry. I may have to take it back and get a heavier one.

I like X-Acto products. This one, not so much
This X_Acto pencil sharpener is not very strong. It was not the least expensive, but does not appear to have lasting qualities. I wrote this statement as a result of the noise, time it took to sharpen a pencil and the feel of the plastics that make up this product. In general, I am a fan of X-Acto products. I cannot recommend this sharpener.

Great Start
I just received my sharpener and am happy with the results so far. No over-sharpening that leads to breakage and it isn't too loud. It also sharpens very quickly.

What I needed!
I had a jar full of pencils that needed to be sharpened but tired of mechanical sharpeners. So, it was time to get an electric sharpener simply for home use. This well priced sharpener works just fine. It quickly does the job in an instant! I can’t assess whether or not it would be useful for office/heavy duty but it meets my needs.
