X-Acto found a way to pamper fingers!
A normal X-Acto knife hurts my fingers after a few minutes. I use my X-acto knives to cut out stencils so I am able to make personalized signs. Imagine my surprise when I spotted a rubberized version at Staples! It not only made my day, but everytime I make a new stencil, I smile.

Good grip Hard to tighten blade
I purchased this to trim photos and for other crafts and utility needs around the house. It is also good for making models. I had one prior to this purchase that I lost. It was a very good precision knife. This one is also good but I find that it is much more difficult to tighten the blade so that it doesn't move. I have to make it very tight. I'll have to check and see...

Very Pleased
I bought this X-acto knife to use for my Advanced Graphic Design class at the University of Alabama Huntsville. I checked off "Professional" because that is what we are studying to become.
I was very pleased with it's feel and weight. The assembly was a bit confusing to me, but perhaps it's because I was working on my final for the class and a bit stressed out. : )

Better Precision
I love it I make duct tape wallets better with it than I ever did with just scissors. The only downside I see to this is that it is sharp enough to cut through my ruler. Although I don't think it would be as effective if it wasn't as sharp. Also I believe it is human error that it cuts through my ruler if I don't line it up correctly. I'll be back in for a new ruler soo...

[*] cheesy quality
It is a shame that such poor quality products come from [*]. We could put Americans to work doing just as poor a job of manufacturing and assembling X-Acto knives.

Best of the X-Acto knives
If you need to use an X-Acto knive on a regular basis, spend the extra money and get this one. It's comfortable to grip and the blades don't work loose as often as with the cheaper, all metal type.

Comfortable and effective.
Not much to say about an Xacto knife, but I have another that is thinner barrel with very rough grip. This is much more comfortable. My hand does not cramp and I feel like it's a bit easier to cut accurately.
