Perfect for the purpose
I needed to find a way to hang a painting on canvas which was stretched over a wooden frame. No external frame. Because it was lightweight, the double sided tape worked well, adhering to a wooden wall with no issues.

Wouldn't mount a fly
I wanted to mount some small frames lightweight . Wouldn’t even hold them. Not sure what this mounting tape would actually mount. Find something else!

It sticks very well.
Works much better than the transparent double-stick tape, but does add thickness between the things you are sticking. But very good for most applications.

Helps in mending books
This double-sided mounting tape can also be used in repairing books. I use it at the top and the bottom of the inside of the spine to secure it to the book. It works well because of its thickness. Regular double-sided tape will not hold the two pieces together. Its a quick way to get a good looking and long lasting result.

Sorry, but I have been using mounting tape for years, and don’t know why this particular mounting tape is so different. It is almost “lethally” (!) sticky, sticks to hands, it’s rubbery and stretches, and when trying to cut it, it will fold upon itself on the scissors and I need to straighten it out, which is not easy.
