Great notebook for lists
Having been looking high and low for these steno books and not wanting to pay an arm and leg for them, I was happily surprised to find them at Staples. They are not expensive and fit the bill to a T.

Steno Pads Cover and backing
Staples produced a far more superior steno pad until they discontinued the product line. Don't know why you would do that. The thick cardboard cover and backing provided great support for writing on the run, on my knee and in my vehicle, not just for stenography. Nationals Stenopad cover and backing are like paper and thereby inferior.I will be returning the product
