Smead Expanding File
I found this file folder to be very durable and holds a lot of individual manila folders. I keep a manila folder for each year and the Smead file holds several years worth of folders.

The file and width is great. The easy grip is helpful when picking up or pulling from a file drawer. The cost is on the high end since it tends to tear after a short period of time with regular/daily usage.
