It was broken
Cheaply made and expensive. Went Hobby Lobby and purchased a better one at a fraction of the cost

Perfect size and handle is comfortable to hold
I'm glad I bought this X-Acto retractable knife. The safety in using this knife is very important. It retracts to 2 positions.

Sharp idea
If you need an X-Acto but you have children with grabby hands...this is the one for you. Doesn't feel as sturdy...but definitely the safer option for the house.

WHY I BOUGHT XACTO KNIFE
Because STAPLES will no longer remove the bind of a music book for coil binding. Hurts the blade on their cutting device. Stupidest excuse not to coil bind yet. The previous excuse was that it breaks copyright laws. Iām not copying anything. The Xacto blade however did a great job, and is now on its 3rd music book, same blade, and doing the work Staples should do. ...

Can only cut so much
This toy might be fine for arts and crafts, but if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to expensive steak knives for eating steak, look elsewhere. The lack of serrated edges on this blade make it almost useless for any strong meat and the short length doesn't do it any favors either. Consider this a skip for alternative kitchenware.

Well made. Well designed
This is a well thought out retractable exacto knife. The blade retracts deeply into the shaft easily so thereās no danger of cutting yourself. I wouldnāt hesitate to throw this into my bag of art supplies because not only is the blade protected so are my fingers. .

I've X-Acto knives for years and this one has a nice handle which helps to hold it easier.

Pretty good, tiny problem
This is a pretty good knife to have. I love how it retracts! So much better then covers that would fall off. Only problem is sometimes if the knife gets stuck in something it does pull out of the holder. I've tried making it as tight as I can but it still happens. But this is a good knife to keep around. I have 4 of them.

Super fast!
Tried 6 stores (auto parts to craft stores) and finally found this on-line at Staples. Ordered one morning and arrived next morning. Just what I was looking for. Excellent service!

Great idea, be careful
This idea is awesome, but make sure you lock it into a slot so the blade doesn't shift in or out while you are using it because the blade is SHARP!

Matches Best Price Anywhere
Although the standard metal rod type handle is the best for delicate or otherwise intricate cutting, this retractible knife body is great for keeping in a toolbox, drawer, even a chest pocket.

So-so
Not too happy with the blade. Didn't cut straight, blade was wobbly. Ended up using a box cutter instead.

A little weak...
Maybe I bought this for the wrong thing but I was using it to cut little 2x2 adhesive labels but it didnāt seem to do the job and the blade was a little weak. If I applied too much pressure it felt like it would snap or go off course of where I was trying to cut. Nonetheless.... I used it to cut some packing tape off a box instead and it did okay. Wouldnāt buy it again ...

X-ACTO Retract-A-Blade #1 Retractable Knife, Each (X3204)
The knife was as expected. I had a specific use for it that turned out to be not used. Scissors worked better. But I know have an x-acto knife that will be used in the future.

Sharp
One of the best X-Acto knife handles I have owned. Love the retraction and the fit of the handle in my hand.
