Concave Cutting Bits Make Jagged Edges
I wanted to love this cutter so much. It is well made solid metal heavy weight easy to adjust. I tried it and right away the hole punches were jagged. We just returned another Swingline hole punch and it had the same issue. I figured out the problem. It's the bits they use. They are concave meaning that aren't flat at the bottom. They cave in. Just FYI
This is a great hole punch easy to use and like that it punches through many sheets. The only issue is the base does not stay secure to the bottom. I read this in another review but it was a better price than the next level up. We just will be careful with the bottom; it would be nice if they could fix that though.

So-So
Punching mechanism works great. Much better than struggling with 5 sheets at a time. Plastic tabs on back to select depth fall off easily. Shards go all over when you take the cover off the bottom. No matter how careful you are.

Perfect for school
Using in my 4th and 5th grade classes as I need to punch holes in many student papers. This does a very nice job: clean holes no sticking or squeaking. This one may be slightly better than my 50-year old model. Kids do not get to use this so I expect it to last 10 years or more.

The hole punch works ok but the on off button is unnecessary and does not work well. Nor did it come with any instructions that I could find about using the button.

Punched Holes Everywhere!
Not impressed with the quality of this hole punch. The plastic base which holds all the punched out holes does not fit well so occasionally if you pick it up the holes go flying all over. Perhaps good for confetti parades but not good for the office.
