Better than expected
This little Westcott ceramic safety knife works great for opening boxes—it's lightweight, safe, and cuts through cardboard with no problem. Great for home office and school. Convenient for everyday use.

Didn't work out so well!
Handle cracked with the first use! I was only cutting a box!! Blade seemed sharp enough, but broken handle makes it a little dangerous to use now!

Go for stronger
I’m disappointed with this tool. I usually love west cott products, but this one didn’t hit the mark. The knife blade doesn’t stay out when using. You have to hold the button down the whole time. Handle is thin, not my favorite.

Limited use
I was asked to review this product. It's a nice little ceramic knife, but I'm not sure what I would use it for. The blade, being ceramic, doesn't feel as strong nor as sharp as a metal blade. The blade slides in and out smoothly and it is of good quality.

Opens Packages Like A Breeze.
This has become an essential for opening packages both large and small. The fact that the blade is retracted when stored makes it safe and non-hazardous. Another feature is the ceramic blade which never needs sharpening.

Great for Opening Boxes!
This Westcott Ceramic Safety Knife is a great value and very convenient. I open a lot of boxes. Carrying this convenient little tool in a pocket makes life easy. Well constructed, Good quality. Highly recommend.

I was actually surprised with this because I thought I was getting a regular blade. When I saw that it was ceramic. I didn't know if it would work but it actually works really well. It cuts through tape easily. I get plenty of packages delivered and this has lasted through all the openings. For the price I definitely recommend it.

Break down boxes, easily.
This ceramic safety cutter has been a great tool for breaking down delivery boxes. Unlike metal blades that wear out quickly, this one stays sharp much longer, doesn’t rust, and is less reactive to chemicals. While it’s not as sharp as a traditional blade, it’s strong enough to cut tough materials and holds up well over time.

Great Feel
I liked the length of this blade. It fit nicely in my hand without making my fingers feel too close together which made it easier to cut confidently-no stopping and starting just a smooth run though the paper.

Awesome Safety Knife
This ceramic safety knife does everything that I want it to do. It cuts all of my boxes without any difficulty. This knife is also handy for cutting through the tape that is sealing the packages. I love that it is retractable so I won’t accidentally get hurt when using it.

Cuts cleanly and is a breeze to use!

Spring loaded wonder
Great pocket blade for opening boxes, packaging, cutting paper and cardboard too. This little tool is small enough to keep in a pocket for multiple cutting uses. I especially like the spring loaded action, which keeps it safe while not in use!

Small but handy
The knife is small and handy for small cutting jobs. I keep it in the kitchen to open boxes and packages. It is a little bit hard to open because of the size and small slide but it works well for being a small knife.

Sharp and Safe
This ceramic cutter is a great product. It is sharp and will cut through paper, cardboard, plastic, and tape. Another great feature is it is ceramic, while its sharp, it is much safer than a regular blade.

My favorite product!
This instrument is a life saver. This easily opens up boxes with ease and helps tear down boxes with ease. As much as I shop online this tool is my rockstar. It works well to cut up (per ear) cardboard as well into piles when needed.

Great
Comes in handy when you are a shopaholic like me who likes ordering online all of the time. Easy to grab and sharp enough to cut but wont cut you. Cermic blade is nice compared to stand razor blade type.

Amazingly handy
Amazingly lightweight cutter that is safer than regular bladed style cutters. The blade cuts effortlessly through items in impressive fashion. I have it readily available for all my cutting needs when opening boxes, you will not be disappointed.

I love this ceramic knife. It is plenty sharp, and is exactly what I need for cutting paper, cardboard, opening boxes, etc. I have a love-hate relationship with the way it opens up, though. Love it
This is a very handy little utility knife. I've used it for small projects. Mostly to cut paper or cardboard.
It's very sharp and has a comfortable design. It's light and easy to use for a long time with no hot spots at all.

For everyday use
The Westcott retractable ceramic utility box knife is a handy tool to have for everyday use. It's very easy to use and compact to put away. The outside casing is made of plastic, but it seems very durable.
