No bottle tank printer -Great
Wife wanted a tank printer, I didn't want bottles. This was a great compromise. Tank printer no bottles. Fast printer and easily prints from mobile devices.

I have had at least a dozen issues with the machine going offline. Today it would not go back online. Tried calling and was given wait times of "2 hours." Tried the support chat and equally terrible. One annoying issue
The printer works well except that when multiple pages are printing the pages do not stay in order. the mechanism that shoots out the copies has some sort of glitch where some copies are placed on top of the previous one and some go underneath so when I pick up my copies they are not in order. First bad experience with a brother printer
Purchased this printer because it's description stated that it was a business quality printer. Needless to say I was very disappointed with this printer. I could print approximately 7 to 10 pages with no issue then it start printing with faded or missing vertical lines. Good printwr
We like the printer and it is much faster than our previous one.

Pretty bad print error most of the time
There is always Print Error whenever I print via network printing. I do not think there is a network problem coz the scanning to PC always work.

I would recommend it and buy again without hesitation.
I have had this printer for 8 months now. I have printed edge to edge cards on thick stock (300gsm) from 4x6 to Ledger size posters. awesome!
This printer has been wonderful. I had an older model for about 5 years and decided to upgrade. The older one still worked just fine and I used it everyday! This one is almost identical but it performs a little faster.

Replacement printer
New printer Learning curve ahead! Always something new to learn. Brother is pretty good about directions. Miss a preview of what will print but maybe I haven't found it yet. Otherwise, very happy. Thanks

dont buy
so many issues. buy another printer. Print quality is terrible jams all the time. Doesn't recognize magenta ink cartridges so you cant print anything! now the return date is over and we can purchase another printer.

Stop looking and purchase this printer!!

Seamless functionality all in one
The all-in-one isn't small but, if you need the capabilities of scanning and printing 11x14 (Legal) the J5855DW will take care of your needs. I love Brother printers and scanners, I've been using them for over 18 years now. Seamless functionality and the software packages (Both PC and Mobile) to utilize them have been awesome.
