So far so good
I had a Toshiba 1 TB USB drive that died and I hadn't backed up any of the date. I took it apart and docked the internal drive in the StarTech and it showed right up on my desktop. I was able to rescue all the date. I am very grateful! I also had an old internal drive that was basically useless, plugged it into the dock and backed up material on to it. I hope the StarTe...

usb 3.1 docking station
In your specs you write that it can support disks up to 16Tb, but my Mac gives an error message.
However, if I replace it with a 6Tb disk, it works.
Really frustrating!!!

Excellent USB 3.1 docking station
Been using this device for about a week now with my ASRock Z170 Extreme 7+ system and have been greatly impressed with its speed as compared with USB 3.0. Haven't run any benchmarks but its speed of handling (copying, moving, transferring) data is considerably faster than a USB 3.0 external enclosure.
