Awful keyboard fell off unable to put back on
I had to send back. Right after I received it and open up the case the keyboard fell off and unable to put back on. It was very hard to open. I liked the old Zagg case much better without the removable keyboard!

The previous model was better; overpriced
They removed features (like the charging port cover) from the previous model that made the previous model so much superior over this one. The pencil holder is too big as the OEM Apple Pencil falls out of it if tilted or upside down. The redesign was a poor decision except with the new touch button. You couldn’t really do much with that. The back material is too slippery...

Great and sturdy but also heavy.

Takes a licking and keeps on clicking!
I am particularly rough on my tablets, and Zagg did not disappoint! The case is beefy, the keys have a good spring to them, and the magnetic hinge allows me to turn the tablet around when I’m not using the keyboard. I wish they still had this for the iPad mini 5, but it more than serves for my 11 inch iPad Pro. Thanks again for a great case!

Zagg could do a better job at shipping as stated when ordering, however, that does not reflect the product! They are the best on the market in my opinion. Good battery life, sturdy, this one holds the pen tight thank goodness!

Too clunky
Too clunky and heavy for me. Seems like I could drop it from a mountain top but I just want to put it in a large purse.

Paramedic tested, inner city paramedic approved!
This case is the best! I use this case at my job as a paramedic in a large city. We use it for our incident charting. It’s been dropped never breaks, it gets opened and closed a hundred times in a 12 hour work day and stands the test! I love it so much I bought one of my own! Worth it !!

Zagg Rugged Book
Really pleased with the Rugged Book. Solid and holds my iPad firmly in place. Being able to detach the screen from the keyboard or flip it around for video conferences is a real plus. The only downside is that it’s a little heavy. I was hoping it would be lighter than the one it replaced (which had a hung failure after a year). Very satisfied with it.

The last iPad case you’ll ever need
I read some reviews that say the Rugged Book makes the iPad feel a bit heavy. YES, GIVE ME ALL OF THAT! This is the Rugged Book after all. Not the “Cheap Flimsy Book”! By far the best iPad case I’ve ever owned, and I used to be a Catalyst customer. Zagg has them beat in terms of impact protection.

Hinges performing more smoothly
The hinges are working more smoothly on this newer unit than a previous unit where the hinge resistance eventually caused the plastic portion of the hinge to fail… prompting need for a replacement unit.

It's ok.
It appears to be good solid protection. The keyboard works well. It is difficult to adjust the tilt of the screen. It doesn't seem to sit in the hinge very securely, and the hinge is firm, so it's difficult to adjust without pulling the iPad out of the hinge. Also, it would be nice to be able to set the iPad in the hinge in portrait position, but that is not possible.

Reliable case and keyboard for iPad
I have owned multiple rugged books for my iPads and my wife's iPads over the years, and I have always been very happy with it's performance, including a very long battery life.

I finally had to replace my original Zagg rugged book after my granddaughter cracked it five years ago by dropping it on some rocks. The crack ultimately exposed the hinge as I kept using my IPad but, seriously, there was no question in my mind I would replace the cover with the exact same thing.
