Simple enough to plug and go. Only issue is that it doesn't power my Mac as advertised. But it's not an inconvenience to plug in the dock and the Mac charger.

Not worked as expected
- VGA signal produces waves on screen at 1920x1200 @60Hz (with the same cable and monitor that works well with other PC) - Mouse and keyboard disconnects intermittently when external SSD requires bandwith + Power delivery works + Build quality

Worked great until MacOS Sonoma
Have been using this dock for a few years with minimal issues. Since upgrading to Sonoma, it has stopped working. It worked in a few of the Sonoma betas, but does not work in the 14.0/14.1 final builds.

Very Spotty Performance
Often drops 2nd monitor. Other ports will intermittently drop. Seems to get overloaded. Running a Macbook Pro 2018, Intel i7 processor. Dock will flicker all monitors and connections even if bumped slightly. Has been a major pain, finally replacing.

Unreliable
We bought five (5) of these units to work with Lenovo ThinkPad's. These laptops are equipped with TB3. We've ensured that the TB firmware is up to date on the systems. It does show connected in the Thunderbolt manager (Intel).
If you connect a USB, fine, connect a monitor, gamble, connect two monitors, USB stops working. Reboot with a single monitor, USB still isn't...

Display Port not working with Samsun Monitors
Can't seem to use the two ports on the back for the DP in and out, only VGA and HDMI seem to work. We want to use DP since the VGA and HDMI ports on the back seem to be going out.

Works great after screen roulette finishes
No issues when it's working. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason when plugging it in to a Macbook on whether the external monitors will come back in the same rotation or not. Usually flipping the cable over or closing the laptop screen before plugging in will fix it. It's a small annoyance, but otherwise the dock works great.

Don't waste your time. DP no worky!
Tried replacing a Dell WD19TB with the StarTech TB3DK2DHV. After 1.5 hours, 7 cables, and two operating systems, couldn't get the StarTech to work using DisplayPort and two monitors. Only TWICE was I able to get just ONE monitor working. Checked drivers, firmware, settings, cables, verified both monitors set to DP 1.2, to no avail. Plugged the Dell WD19TB back in and BA...

Works fine out of the box.. its just ..
Work issued this dock with a 2019 MacBook Pro. The dock worked fine out of the box, its just Startech supplying a 50cm cable is very amateur hour. I try to maintain a clean work surface with under routing for cables, however the supplied cable is so short that it "almost" forces you to stick this nasty little box on your desk. If I actually paid money for this dock, I w...

Drivers won't install
Work issued this dock for my Macbook Pro running Mojave 10.14.6. When trying to install the drivers I get the message "this driver can't be installed because your version of macOS is too new." So I guess I have a new paperweight?

Good features - easy install
Company provided this for my Mac Pro (2018) and it works well except - the install software will not work on my macOS Mojave 10.14.4. I will still recommend this as a good solution for adding addional monitors to the Mac.
