Great deal and real Pro performance
The 18 TB Red Pro is a great choice with reasonable competitive price and magnificent performance during write and read data. The overall performance of my NAS improved noticeably after upgrading with 4x 18 TB HDDs. Worth every dollar paid. Well Done western Digital

Great deal and real Pro performance
The 18 TB Red Pro is a great choice with reasonable competitive price and magnificent performance during write and read data. The overall performance of my NAS improved noticeably after upgrading with 4x 18 TB HDDs. Worth every dollar paid. Well Done western Digital

Will I ever get mine?
“1-2 Weeks Backordered” really means it wont even ship 5 weeks later. Still waiting. Almost at a critical point for needing. You’d think - we’ll cancel and order elsewhere! But…. They have a free usb flash drive that came with the order that shipped day 1. So you can’t touch this order.

18tb drive swap
Very easy to swap out my old 6tb drives with the new 18tb drives. WD provided me detailed instructions and were 100% correct. Zero data loss.

WD DRIVES ARE MY FAV
I’ve been buying and using Western Digital Drives since the 90s and they are STILL running. Bought (4) 3TB Drives about 10 years back and wanted to build a new NAS to replace them. Working great in my Video Editing PC build.
I needed a big HDD for my video editing build in a gaming PC platform and this was just the ticket. I was concerned about shipping, packaging etc because of others' reviews, but it came in a box with molded plastic end pieces holding it away from the sides securely. No complaints!

Based on your concern, if the drive is not showing up on the computer then it could be due to insufficient power supply to the drive for operation. To isolate the cause of the drive failure, it is recommended to connect the drive as secondary storage via SATA port to the computer and check the drive for any damage or defect. We recommend connecting the drive as secondary storage via SATA port to the computer, to test the health of the drive using Western Digital Dashboard for Windows. "Western Digital Dashboard: How to Install and Use" https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/31759#subject2 If the test is unfortunately inconclusive and you just purchased the drive then you should be able to return it to the place of purchase. However, if you are past their return policy, you can create an RMA through WD and replace the drive under warranty if necessary. Drive is probably fine, I've bought many. 2 Stars because WD dropped the price a week after advertising this deal to me. Pretty scummy thing to do there WD.

Perfect drives for my WD PR4100 Nas
Drives arrived sooner the expected and are all working perfectly. Just loaded then expected, but then again who need to sit and watch his NAS work.

Lost time and probably money, if it will not work
Put in my DROBO for 8 drives the same day as I got both 2 18 tb drives. Asked me to put second one too.
It still flashing so I do not have access to data. Maybe to big, maybe not working. I do not know.
Will give it another 7 days
