Works great for U3 ssd
Plugged micron 7450 Pro into a PCIe x4 3.0. Tested the disk with 600GB read write test. Pcie 3.0 was a bottleneck.

needs drivers, and there are no drivers
Under drivers it gives you a PDF that says, you might need drivers. But there are no drivers to download... Go figure.

Perfect solution
Used to mount Optane P5800x drives to MOBOs - perfect solution. You don't need drivers for the AIC itself.

Our apologies for the confusion. The drivers referred to in the manual are for the U.2 drive or motherboard, as your board or drive may require drivers before they will work properly together. The PEX4SFF8639 itself does not require any drivers or software to be installed.
